Students in this program will meet once as a group at the first session of the course to discuss the scope of their project and the challenges it presents, and periodically to discuss progress with the group. In between that time period, students will meet with Daniel individually once a month during the course (three sessions) for a mentoring, instruction and guidance. Students are also encouraged to meet individually with each other during the course of the term if they wish.

This course is intended for advanced participants in support of their specific projects and participants looking to expand on their materials

Daniel John Gadd is an artist living and working in New Jersey. His work blurs the boundaries of painting and sculpture, abstraction and figuration, and “high” and “low” art, creating work that expresses a range of human emotion; at once violent, fragile, sensitive, fierce, vulnerable, and compassionate. His most recent shows were mounted at M. David & CO. and John Davis Gallery and his work has been reviewed in Hyperallergic and Whitehot Magazine among others.
